ABSTRACT

Chemical goods and processes that are created from the ground up by principles that make them favorable to life will serve as the material foundation upon which a sustainable society will be built. To determine whether compounds and processes are depleting or renewable, harmful or benign, and persistent or rapidly degradable, it is necessary to take into consideration the important intrinsic features of molecules from the very beginning, which is the design stage. The ideas of green chemistry and green engineering will need to be incorporated into products, feedstocks, and manufacturing processes to meet the requirements of an enlarged definition of performance that considers sustainability considerations. To accomplish this change, it will be necessary to combine the most successful aspects of scientific and innovative traditions with the most recent developments in systems thinking and design. ABSTRACT 

Nanoscience, the scientific investigation of matter at the nanoscale, offers a multitude of advantages and difficulties.   Positively, it has brought about a revolution in medicine through precise drug administration, expanded materials science through the use of nanocomposites, and improved energy technology like batteries and solar cells.   Nevertheless, there are apprehensions over possible health and environmental hazards, ethical quandaries, and deficiencies in regulations.   In order to tackle these difficulties, it is crucial to conduct thorough research on the toxicity of nanomaterials, implement strict laws, and foster international collaboration.   Furthermore, the responsible advancement of nanotechnology can be facilitated by the promotion of public knowledge, adherence to ethical principles, and continuous monitoring of environmental effects.   To leverage the advantages of nanoscience and minimize any potential negatives, it is crucial to allocate resources toward education, promote international collaboration, and adjust governance systems to accommodate the changing nature of this field.

ABSTRACT  

Cancer is a genetic disease caused by proliferation and multiplication of tumor cells in the body. Cancer occurs due to uncontrolled growth and development of tumor cells in the body. There are more than 100 different types of cancers categorized on the basis of the affected tissue or organ of the human body. Cancers can be cured by means of both conventional tonic approaches, i.e., surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy, and nonconventional or complementary therapeutic methods, including hormone therapy, immunotherapy, nano therapy etc. These well-established therapeutic interventions specifically target the tumors and either inhibit or slow down the growth rate of cells, but incompetent to completely provide protection and largely distress the normal cells, tissues, and organs.

ABSTRACT  

Nanoparticles (NPs) synthesis, properties, and application exist in different forms. A nanoparticle is a small particle that ranges between 1 to 100 nm in size. Nanoparticles (can be classified into different classes based on their properties, shapes or sizes. The different groups include fullerenes, metal NPs, ceramic NPs, and polymeric NPs. NPs possess unique physical and chemical properties due to their high surface area and nanoscale size. Their reactivity, toughness, and other properties are also dependent on their unique size, shape and structure. Due to these characteristics, they are suitable candidates for various commercial and domestic applications, which include catalysis, imaging, medical applications, energy-based research, and environmental applications. Heavy metal NPs of lead, mercury and tin are reported to be so rigid and stable that their degradation is not easily achievable, which can lead to many environmental toxicities.

In vitro evaluation of antimicrobial property of nanoparticles and chlorhexidine against Streptococcus pneumoniae

ABSTRACT 

This study used ionic liquids to successfully create a positively charged copper nanocomplex that served as a nanocarrier for chlorhexidine. Interestingly, this nanocomplex may deliver the antibacterial drug with a synergistic outcome. In this study, positively charged zinc nanoparticles (CZNPs) loaded with chlorhexidine were examined using UV-visible spectroscopy, TEM, X-ray diffraction, FTIR, and PSA. The effectiveness of loading, the drug release profile, and the antibacterial properties of chlorhexidine were then assessed. For CZNPs, an average size of 42.65 nm was found. As a result of their consistent release of chlorhexidine, the CZNPs are a more potent antibacterial agent while treating Streptococcus pneumoniae.

It is a plant chemical fat-soluble organic pigment known as carotenoid. It is a red color pigment. It is a tetraterpene C40H56. It has non-provitamin A activity. Due to the presence of 11 conjugated double bonds it absorbs light in the UV region. Carotenoids are present in human blood and tissues. It is found in tomatoes and tomatoes product. It is the most potent antioxidant in nature. Its bioavailability depends on food processing or the ingestion of fat.

Demonstration Of Risk Assessment In Utility Conflicts

ABSTRACT  

Fast traveling connections between the cities or states are the major supporter in the growth of the economy of any country but in countries like India transportation means like highways play a vital role in the uprising of the economy as well as the safe and fast travel of the population. India has a very high population density than many other countries and thus is a cause of sophisticated and packed working system in various aspects of the country. Out of many sociological and environmental and financial causes, there is the problem of the Utility Relocation from the proposed project right of way (ROW), which is the reason for most project’s completion delay. Utility conflicts are a major problem that is faced during new construction or widening of a highway because there are various departments and organizations working in our highly dense country, they tend to have a conflict of utilities overlapping or intersecting with each other.  It has been observed that delay in utility relocation is one of the major reasons which leads to the untimely completion of highway projects. Improper accounting/estimating of the utility relocation in detailed project reports also affects adversely the execution of projects as sudden changes. Good risk-avoiding decisions on design and construction cannot be made without knowledge of where these systems are, how they are constructed, and design constraints for relocation or construction in their vicinity.  Therefore, a pre-planned detailed report needs to be documented and furnished describing the utility conflicts and their solution throughout the project. This paper will explore, explain and recommend educational and training needs as presented in recent research studies with interviews conducted with design engineers, survey teams, and utility authorities.
